Section 18
<br> able to invest funds in the fund
The fund can invest the remaining amount as follows:-
(a) In bonds issued by the Government of Nepal,
(b) Commercial bank's cash certificate on fixed deposit,
(c) cash certificates of financial institutions deemed suitable by the Fund with appropriate bank guarantee on time deposit,
(d) on loan to any industry or organized organization under the guarantee of the Government of Nepal under the conditions specified by the Fund,
(e) Investment in shares of banks and financial institutions up to a maximum of twenty five percent (f)   In joint loans as per the mutual agreement to divide the collateral (paripasu) on the basis of co-financing with any bank or financial institution,
(g) in debentures issued by any company or body corporate not exceeding a maximum of twenty-five per cent,
(h) The fund itself or in collaboration with other organizations to conduct staff housing projects, buy land and construct buildings and restore buildings,
(j) In the areas deemed appropriate by the fund, after obtaining the approval of the Government of Nepal, taking sufficient collateral or security for investment,
(j) Taking into account the security of funds, taking the approval of the Government of Nepal in any work for the benefit of the employees,
(k)   in manufacturing sector industries with the approval of the Ministry,
(l)   In the project of Government of Nepal,
(d) in international bonds or foreign currency with the approval of Nepal Rastra Bank based on the capital adequacy of the fund,
(d)   In Treasury Bills to be sold by the Government of Nepal,
(n) other necessary work to be done by the Fund under this Act.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), the fund shall make an investment plan so that the amount sufficient to provide pension for at least three years remains in the fund.
(3) For the work mentioned in sub-section (1), the fund may establish a subsidiary company or organization by itself or in a joint venture with other organizations designated by the Government of Nepal on a specified basis.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), before investing the amount as per clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 5, the fund shall obtain the prior approval of the Government of Nepal.
